Daverick will be taking a sabbatical from teaching from March onward. However, the classes will still continue in his absence, led by Sarah MacDonald, an experienced Hua Gong teacher. New students can still join in March and should contact the group coordinator.
These ongoing groups, some of which have been rolling for almost two decades, are an ideal environment to learn Qigong. Taking a whole day allows the practice to permeate deeply and the monthly interval is a workable commitment for many people. The group energy supports each person in their practice and a strong Qi field develops. The day is spacious, warm and sociable and deep friendships are often formed.
The classes cover four main aspects of Hua Gong practice: the Self-Healing Form, Standing and Moving with the Qi Ball, Sitting Meditation and Digestive Qigong. Over time various complementary practices such as the Five Animals forms, Walking and Sleeping Qigong are also introduced and every day there is a chance to talk in depth about the work.
